and Community
It's the site for kids, teachers, parents, and planners who work with
youth. Click
here and the fun begins. Find great books for children that introduce
them to concepts of community and planning. Create poems and art work
and have fun with silly city tales. It's a great introduction for young
people ages 9-14 to city planning.
Community Assistance Program
The American Institute of Certified Planners created the Community Assistance Program (CAP) to address social equity issues through the provision of pro bono planning services to communities in need. A strong aspect of CAP is the significance it places on collaboration with local planners and residents to address social equity issues in planning.

National Community Planning Month
Celebrate the achievements of planning this October during the inaugural National Community Planning Month. This annual event will help raise the visibility of planning and APA. It's time to recognize the contributions of the planning profession and the individuals who work hard to make our communities enjoyable, endearing, and valuable.
Great Places in America
APA launching the "Great Places in America" Program in order to celebrate places of exceptional character, quality, and planning. As part of this initiative, APA needs your help in suggesting places that are great and merit such designation.
World Town
Planning Day
Every November 8 is World Town Planning Day, an international celebration
of public and professional interest in planning. APA and the American Institute
of Certified Planners encourage members to consider planning challenges and solutions around the globe on that day.
