About the Library
The Merriam Center Library (MCL) at the American Planning Association houses more than 4,200 volumes on planning and allied fields and adds several hundred new titles each year. Plans, municipal documents, and planning-related pamphlets and articles fill almost 150 file drawers. The library subscribes to more than 200 journals and newsletters. In addition, it has complete sets of all APA serial publications, including Planning magazine, the Journal of the American Planning Association, and the various division newsletters.

Visitors
The library is open to all: members, students, and interested citizens are
welcome. Appointments are requested; they may be made by e-mail, library@planning.org,
or telephone, 312-786-6354.
The Merriam Center Library is a research library. Visitors may use the library's materials on the premises but our books are not available for loan.
Hours
The library is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
(CT). The library is closed on Wednesdays and holidays.
